Interventions for Drug Addiction: Case Study

Interventions for Drug Addiction part Study18893many attempts collect been make to arrive at a universally acceptable definition of colony and what causes habit- fermenting behaviour but the matter still remains un subsided. People often define addiction as do do drugss abuse and vitiate. To Krivak (1982,p.83), Addiction willing be defined as a behaviour strain characterised by an ongoing and overwhelming preoccupation with the use of a drug and the securing of its supply. This definition could also plead the addict is, Someone who is touch on with an activity to such an extent that it the major focus of his or her feel, (McAllister et all., 1991,p.5).For my assignment, I shit chosen a thickening within the criminal justice system that has an addiction problem with drug misuse. He has been involved with the criminal justice system because of his offending behaviour relating to guilty drugs. I am basing my assignment on this lymph node. I am going to discuss in my assignme nt, drug users and the criminal justice system, the psychology of habit- modeling behaviour, C ar political platformning and different options of planning and perspicacity, the initial referral and the in-depth assessment, modes of discussion and models of mete out and drug problems in prisons within the criminal justice system.Where in that location is an addiction to drugs, more or less drug users at some time or another come into contact with the criminal justice system. This is how my customer got involved with the system. Some drug users spend periods of time in prison as a impart of drug- tie in offending behaviour. There is an alternative to postponement and these include fines, community do, probation and bail, which is subject to received conditions such as participation in drug treatment broadcasts. My client is subject to certain conditions that he participates in a drug treatment programme.Criminal justice arranges can be subject to conditions of residence for the offender. For drug return workers, close liaison with practitioners in the criminal justice field of work is normal practice. Joint c be plans ar negociatefully and sensitively devised to servicing both receiptss work with the drug user in collaborative and constructive ways. Criminal justice practitioners are expected to work with offenders to achieve specific objectives and these are not always compatible with drug inspection and repair objectives, for example, reducing drug-related offending behaviour rather than acquiring rid of it alto sign onher (Robertson, 1998, p.389).My client has an addiction to drugs. The psychology of the addict involves behaviour that takes a repetitive form and is associated with increases of anxiety. Some behaviours that take a repetitive form are associated with increases or decreases in anxiety and these are considered compulsive behaviours. These types of behaviours can include drug addiction, gambling and exhibitionism. However the re are meaning(a) distinctions betwixt these types of behaviour and action and true compulsive behaviour. Firstly addictive behaviours involve a pleasure- becharmking component, which is not in compulsive behaviours. Secondly, the anxiety involved with the performance of criminal activity is appropriate in light of hearty sanctions. Obsessive-compulsive patients experience anxiety that is inappropriate to the situation (Oltman, 1995,p11).There are different options of planning and assessing with nerve misuse offenders in the criminal justice system. For social workers, assessment is a key task and it will de termine whether or not a dish out plan is needed for the offender of if a focusing service is needed. The NHS and Community Care Act (1990) provides guidance on procedures for assessment for people who are authorise to community care services. The assessment process includes, the initial referral, the initial assessment and the in-depth assessment. The assessment process should be needs led and not service-led. Community care services are greatly in petition and the screening process is apply to determine who needs the treatment the most. Drug agencies undertaking assessment may receive referrals from the criminal justice system or other agencies. Basic referral forms are filled in with the details of the service user, such as factors and the reason for referral. My client has been referred from the criminal justice system to a drug agency for assessment. The initial interview with the service user will determine whether or not they need a more in-depth assessment or a formal care plan. Most topical anesthetic authorities construct certain criteria and priority takes to which they can base their response on. The service user is told what is involved in the assessment, is told about confidentiality policies and whether or not there will be any participation of others. The service users are told what to do if they want to use complaint procedures or appeal if they are against any decisions make at or after the assessment. The initial assessment will determine the seriousness of the problem and the level of need required. My client has more complex needs with his addiction problems so he would require a more in-depth formal assessment so that a care plan can be made for him. This assessment will include personal details, family and relationships, social details, significant life events, social supports and ne tworks, comprehensive write up of addictions and associated problems. The assessment will also include, treatment history, risk behaviour, criminal history and current offending behaviour, financial status, physical health, mental health problems, past and present, self concepts, perceived needs and the level of motivation to reference these needs, personal resources and abilities, resources and abilities of partners and carers, other agency assessments and specialist assessments and the conclusions and suggested in terventions of the assessment.Robertson (1998,p.376) suggests that care planning should involved developing a piece of land of care, which will meet the clients needs. Care plans are systematic approaches and include all the care and treatment that will be provided and the desired outcome. Care plans are monitored measured and reviewed and will involve the client, service provider, an assessor and a care manager. The care plan will involve information gathered at the assessment in an easy to monitor format and will illustrate the behaviours that need to be communicate and it will pay off separate sections for identifying the needs of the problem.Partnerships between the criminal justice system and the treatment agencies subscribe substance-misusing offenders to the appropriate services. There are many initiatives ranked at encouraging substance misusers to take part in appropriate treatment that will help them. In the UK there are twelve step agencies that are also know as the Minnesota method of treatment. These agencies are funded through statutory sources. The aim of these agencies is to treat the dependence on drugs to help deoxidise drug misuse and to help the client select up drugs completely when they feel ready to do so. Three intermediate aims are to help resolve the underlying problems that contribute to drug misuse, to help the client gain more control and minimize terms also known as harm minimization (Keene, 1997,p.223).The Government produced a drug strategy in 1998 in the UK called, Tackling drugs to build a better Britain. This was updated again in 2002. The strategy sets out the range of interventions and policies to help reduce harm caused by using illegal drugs by the year 2008. The drug intervention programme used to be known as the criminal justice interventions programme. The government aims to cut offense related to drug use. This strategy uses the criminal justice system to help direct offenders who used drugs out of crime and i nto treatment. There are different kinds of interventions used by drug service workers. Psychological interventions are rattling useful when it comes to help treat someone with a drug addiction. Professional psychotherapy is in truth strong and good quality drug counselling can also be very effective. Psychological interventions are, cognitive behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, and the twelve-step treatment program that I discussed earlier and relapse prevention. Some people look at that complementary and alternative therapies are useful, but there is not enough evidence in the population to back up this claim. The model of care, introduced by the National Treatment agency (NTA), is a framework that is used by Drug Services to ensure that the services provided are consistent and meet the needs of the service user. The framework is categorised by easy to understand tier levels and treatment levels. layer one, includes primary care by health care professionals and genera l practitioners that provide medical services along with probation and housing services. Tier two (Open Access Services) offers a range of drop in street agencies that offer advice and support for stimulating users and substance misusers are able to drop in when there is a crisis. Tier three (Community prescribing services) is broadly speaking geared towards opium user. Tier three, (Structured day programmes) are geared into providing education about drug misuse, and provide develop for work skills and give advice about practical issues. Tier four, (Residential Care) has different systems in place for entry in different areas for entry into residential care. The social services community care assessment team unremarkably deal with the funding.Another option for the substance misuse offender is motivation to convince. Motivational interviewing is based on using the motivational change model. The model consists of five stages with stage one being the pre-contemplation stage, stag e two the contemplation stage, three the action stage, four the maintenance of change and five the relapse stage. Prochaska and DiClemente are two best-known authors on the importance of individual motivation in dependency treatment. The authors developed the motivational change module from their work with smokers. They use aCognitive behavioural approach method and their interventions are bear on with cognitive and behavioural change (Prochaska and DiClemente, 1983,p.390).The control of drug misuse is a big problem in prisons. People are much more likely to use drugs in prison because of stress, anxiety and boredom. These levels are higher for substance misusers in prison so they would be more likely to take health risks. Drug treatment in prison could be approached the same way, as it is in the community with regimes to reduce drug related harm, rather than prevention.Because of the extent of my clients addictive behaviour he has had a formal in-depth assessment done so that we c an meet his needs. This has resulted in a care plan being made up for so that we can provide services for him and carefully monitor his progress. We experience liased with other professional health services and we have had a full mental health assessment done for him. We have considered his past history of using drugs and the amount of offending he has done in the past and the length of time he has been involved in the criminal justice system. We have notice that he has also had mental health problems in the past and that he suffers from depression. The client did not go into custody this time because of his substance offending behaviour instead he was given a probation order subject to certain conditions that he participate in a drug treatment service. We contacted drug service workers who were happy to help my client as long as he was willing to accept help. My client says that he does want to change his behaviour and post an end to his substance misuse. He has tried in the pas t to give up but this has always lead to a relapse. After careful rumination and after weighing up all the options of treatment for my client I decided that psychological intervention along with drug therapy was the best way forward to help reduce his drug dependency. I have decided that professional psychotherapy and relapse intervention would be the best option for him because other options have not helped him in the past. We are also going to offer him good quality counselling. My client has told me that outgo time in custody has not done him any good. He told me that he gets very downcast when he is inside and this leads to more dependency on drugs. Our culture is to help him stay out of custody and reduce his dependency on drugs. We will continue to monitor, measure and review the clients care plan and see whether or not his dependency and addiction are getting better. As substance service workers our goal is to meets the needs of the service user and in this instance it is to reduce substance addiction and the long term goal is to eradicate substance misuse altogether. In order to intervene effectively where there is addictive behaviour, social workers need to be able to assess and plan appropriate treatment. For my assignment I have chosen a client within the criminal justice system that has an addictive behaviour. He is a drug misuse offender and he has been involved with the criminal justice system for a some years now. I have discussed a bit about the psychology of addictive behaviour and how my client was referred to me through the criminal justice system. I have discussed the methods of assessment and the different options available. I have discussed the most suitable option for my client who I feel has deeper problems to address than some other substance misusers I have encountered. In this instance I felt that my client would benefit from a psychological form of intervention that would include psychotherapy. There are different types of psych otherapy these are behaviour therapy that helps the client put an end to undesirable habits or certain fears that they have. Cognitive therapy is a method that tries to show the client that certain thoughts that they are having are not good for them and that they are negative. The therapist will then try to get the client into thinking more positive thoughts in order that the persistence of negative thoughts will eventually fade away.Drug therapy is also called by the name of pharmacotherapy and it is a part of psychotherapy. The approach here with this method of intervention is to calm the person down using certain anti-anxiety drugs so that they permit the other therapies to have effect. The negative side is that sometimes these drugs encourage psychological dependence and the anxiety that was there before great power return again. Some addictions such as obsessive compulsive disorder have been successfully set using certain antidepressant drugs. The types of interventions I ha ve discussed do not always work for everyone. accessible workers need to analyse the situation very carefully and sensitively when working with addictive behaviours. This is because it is a very sensitive area and if treatment goes wrong the client could go back to their old habits of substance misuse and become a part of the drug culture again. The aim is to reduce offending and minimise the physique of substance misusers by putting carefully controlled care plans into place to address their needs. The intervention method that was used on my client was very successful and I am happy to say that my client has vulcanized his addictive behaviour. It is important that assessments are done very carefully and to take into consideration all the important facts of the client. It is also important for social workers and other drug service workers to gain the trust of the client because without this there is less change of the client willing to accept treatment.ReferencesBarber, J. Patient Billing Software System Information Technology Essay

Patient Billing package product System Information Technology EssayIn todays world, the population in various countries is increasing quick every year, the Medical Billing System has grown-up in importance. The reason for this is that in that respect are far more(prenominal) than individuals that have need of some variety of health care, regardless of whether it is physical or mental. In sight to receive these services affected roles need to pay for the services rendered by the infirmary. This task requires a accusation governance that undersurface generate bills of services to patients. Medical professionals are facing problems regarding the billing matter. My toil for BSc Com vagabonding is to soften a get to understructured patient billing software that is of importance to a hospital. . PHP was selected as the wrangle for implementation and PL/SQL waiter as the database. The patient breeding lead be stored in the database. Any modernistic patient learning ej ect be stored in the database via a patient information input mask. The screen will take as input any the details of the patient, the amount to be paid, etc. The organization is designed with the intension of every(prenominal)owing for scalability, portability, and re- design. The design of the outline is such that it would permit future integration with other trunks wish online insurance billing for a patient that has a medical exam insurance, or even a in all different application. This formation is as well expected to provide a maximum level of security and reliability. headThis project is aimed at developing a patient billing software system that is of importance to a hospital. The patient billing system is a local software system. This system can be utilise to maintain the location and the bed chip of each patient either in the ward or the Intensive Care Units (ICU). Information slightly the patient and the charges to be paid is also stored.OBJECTIVE explore obje ctive lensTo study the feasibility of implementing a practical billing system for a hospital mainly focusing on scalability issues. As the hospital is speedily getting bigger the system should be able-bodied support any future expansions such as dealing with patients with health insurance. To conduct series of interviews in order to understand the organisational structure and the existing infrastructure service in the hospital and its problems and develop an utility(a) scenario for the system. To understanding the advantages and disadvantages of the current infrastructure service and how does the tonic system will be a benefits to the hospital? To conduct research approximately how patients billing systems is used in other hospitals? To examine the necessary tools that will be needed for the implementation of the proposed system and also examine whether the proposed system will be congruous with the existing system within the budget.Eg What pillow slip of scheduling language can be adopted? What type of database would be best sui give in for the system? To conduct an interview with the hospital data entry agent and the account department in order to find out the difficulties they are facing when generating bills to their patients.Practical objectiveThe system is authentic using PHP as the front end and SQL Server / Oracle as the corroborate end.The following steps will be accommodating to start off the project.Study and be satisfactory with technologies such asPHP, SQL server / Oracle, Apache and ODBC Connectivity.Decide on the number of wards and the number of beds in each ward. get up a database of all tables and fill some sample data in the tables which can prove helpful for go by means ofning / testing of the project.Assign a hospital data entry operator who will engrave all the patient details, mention updating to the table entries via front-end screens as and when a patient is organism admitted to the hospital, transferred from a general ward t o the ICU and vice versa and discharged from the hospital.Since the real- judgment of conviction project needs to be tested in real-time, you can take hours as days for testing the system. However, the display will still be in days simply.Create the front- scallywag of the PBS system giving a brief description about the system and a login boxCreate the help-pages of the system in the form of QA. This will help you also when implementing the system.Create other sub-systems deal screens for various functions (new patient entry, viewing existing patient details, transfer of a patient between ward and ICU, etc).Research about client ramp and server side programming languagesHTML, XHTML, ASP.NET, JSP, PHP, ASPResearch about web based data base applications like Oracle,MysqlResearch about Unified Modelling Language, Activity diagram, Use episode diagram, Class diagram, Sequence diagram, Collaboration diagram precept of the projectOutsource medical billing system service provider is do ing large(p) help in terms of rendering medical billing services that could be of help to the doctors in order to shrink more on their patients. The idea of medical billing outsourcing initiated from the need to hire experts in order to achieve a minor task related to the medical profession. However, the intimately concerned issues of hiring a third caller to manage the medical billing services are because secrete information about the company can be leaked out by outsourcing employees, even to their competitor and also they do not provide just quality services as most of their staff have limited medical background and all these issues can cause serious damage to the medical practice and finance. However with the introduction of my proposed system, it will dissolver in the overall improvement of the medical billing processes.SignificanceThe proposed project can have not bad(p) significance on the finance of the hospital and also reduce the work load from the account departme nt. This does not only limit on the users, but will also be of great help to my studies and my locomote as well, as it would give me exposure needed in order to develop my skill on PL/SQL, PHP, HTML and RDBMS.OverviewMy proposed web based application is fully focused is being user friendly, simple, but exceedingly accurate at the same time. My program consists of different stages (pages). These can be described as follows. The project will provide a web-based platform where the hospital data entry operator canLogin to the system through the first page of the applicationEnter the ward number for the patient either in the general ward or the ICU.Settle all bills pending to be paid by a patient before the patients discharge.Keep a track of all beds occupied / free in both(prenominal) the ward and the ICU. mess information of all patients details, their admit time and the amount to be paid.Update the table fields (patient details, the amount to be paid / any balance remaining, the war d number, the bed number, the registration number, case number, etc.) as soon as a new patient is being admitted into the hospital or being discharged from the hospital.REQUIREMENTSSystem requirementThe system requirements gives more details and explain how the user requirements should be provided by the system and can be used as part of the contract for the implementation of the system and should therefrom be a complete and consistent specification of the system.(Sommerville, 2007pg.130) Therefore, Due to the nature of the project, the system is web base application that interacts with the user (hospital data entry operator and the account department) on client side and all the processing will be carried out on the server side. Therefore, both the client and the Server side have to meet the following minimum requirements.SoftwareUser is going to open the web page of the company that will contain the actual application form and then they have to fill it to read an application for the services.Internet Explorer or any web browser.Internet Connection.Data Base -MySQL server/Oracle (Optional)Client-side and Server-side scripting technologiesPHP, ASP.NET, AJAX, Visual basic 6.0WAMP.Security SSL,HardwarePC with Hard disk space more than 1 GB free always for database. (Optional)Minimum memory of 1GB (Optional)Back up running.Literature ViewNew technology creates new opportunities for forward-thinking companies. Higher level of automation, high-speed communications and improved plan of attack to information can provide significant benefits to a modern business organisation (Paul Boucij, Andrew Greasley, Simon Hickie 2008). Computer technology has extremely transformed peoples lives tremendously. This innovation changes the way of our thinking and the way we perform our day by day activities. Computer-based information systems are now used to carry out all functions and activities of an organisation. Nowadays, improved innovations are being put in place in other to help a modern business organisation to make water more efficient and automate business processes. Nevertheless, Medical practices are not left out of this great change. In order to run a medical practice appropriately, medical billing has to be automated. Lets figure that there is no appropriate medical billing in place. What will happen to the issue of billing in medical practices? Of course, the traditional way of billing will be adopted. Traditional way is doing all the medical billing like sending invoices and generating patients bills manually. This system is well(p) if the medical practice wants to stay small. However, the issue of medical billing is sensitive in hospital management as the hospitals cannot afford losses because of inattentive billing generated from traditional way of billing.According to Charles Darwin, the prominent scientist of nature, said, It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to c hange (Case, 2006 pg 27) The fact about nature is also authorized in today medical practice that works in a fast changing environment. The most efficient and successful hospitals run their finances with modern medical billing software. There is an urgent need to have a good way of managing the billing issue in a medical practice and this issue can only be managed with the help of good billing software. A good billing software is expected to make sure that the billing calculation are done efficiently and accurately. In addition, it is expected to be operational to the users on internet so that medical practitioners can be able to have full access to their billing system anywhere in the world. Therefore, a web based medical billing is required.A sack up application is a software application that is deployed on the web. It allows users to accomplish a task like obtaining information about the outstanding bills of a patient or any of the many activities possible on the web (Susan, Me lanie, Solomon, Benjamin, 2003). The user can view, manipulate and control the software application through a Web browser connected to a web server through a network such as field Wide Web. In 1989, CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Switzerland) proposed the development of the World Wide Web in order to enable high-energy physicists across the world to collaborate through the easy provision and accessibility of information (Graham Curtis and David Cobham, 2002 pg 128). Another important aspect of web application is that there is a real-time update of generated content/data and they can be universally accessed via internet/web by the user. However, The effectiveness of any computerised system is dependent on the soundness of its design and this is particularly true for the database application. The importance of database system cannot be overlooked in medical billing system. For most business organisations, information held in databases can often be more valuable than tangible forms of asset, which are accounted for in financial terms. To work most effectively for the organisation or company, data stored electronically must be mighty managed and protected. (Domanski, peter, Philip, 2000). Thus, a consistence database must be in place in order to avoid inexact analyses of stored information, poor cash flow for the hospital and Patient dissatisfaction with the hospital. A web based billing software component comprises the Database trouble system and the application programMethodologiesDifferent methodologies can be used for a project. However the appropriate one can increase the chances of better results.I have chosen to use the Unified Process approach and the reasons areIt concentrates on detailed documentationIt minimises back trackingIt maintains a full constant control on each stage of developmentWe have a clear idea of all the problems during each stage thereby eliminating chance of bigger problems after codingI will get to learn use ful tools do design Used case diagramsEnhancing my knowledge of course of study diagramsStrategic IssuesStrategic issue can be explained as the organisation planning options in addressing pivotal business issue, engaging in collaborative decision making. The strategic issue that the school of Technology and Management will benefit from the new system areFor the organisationReduce the amount of paper manipulation e.g. assignment submission formsReduce the amount of storage usage costReduce the number of work force usage costIt will reduce the stress levels of the staffIt save time for staffsFor StudentIt overtake assignment printing costsIt reduce the long queues at the college e.g. during registration or at the registry. It saves time as well for the studentManpower requirementsThe project can be completed within 3 4 months if i work fulltime on it.Milestones and TimelinesNumberMilestone NameMilestone DescriptionTimelinehebdomad no.from the startof the projectRemarks1Requirements SpecificationComplete specification of the system (with appropriate assumptions) including the form of transfer policy of the patient between the ward / IBU, the payment / balance to be made by the patient etc constitutes this milepost. A document detailing the same should be written and a presentation on that be made.2-3Attempt should be made to add some more relevant functionality other than those that are listed in this document.3Database creationA database of atleast 25 entries of patients with some patients admitted in wards and the remaining in IBU should be entered.5-7It is important to finalize on the database at this stage itself so that development and testing can last with the actual database itself.4High-level and Detailed DesignListing down all possible scenarios (like new patient, transfer of a patient between general ward and IBU, some balance remaining to be paid at the time of discharge etc) and then coming up with flow-charts or pseudocode to handle the scenario .7-9The scenarios should act to the requirement specification (i.e., for each requirement that is specified, a corresponding scenario should be there).5Implementation of the front-end of the systemImplementation of the main screen giving the login, screen that follows the login giving various options, screens for each of the options (shifting of patients, usage of beds).10-12During this milestone period, it would be a good idea for the team (or one person from the team) to start working on a test-plan for the entire system. This test-plan can be updated as and when new scenarios come to mind.6Integrating the front-end with the databaseThe front-end developed in the earlier milestone will now be able to update the database when a patient discharges. In short, the system should be ready for integration testing.12-137Integration TestingThe system should be thoroughly tested by running all the testcases written for the system (from milestone 5).14-15Another 2 weeks should be there to h andle any issues found during testing of the system. After that, the final demo can be arranged.8Final ReviewIssues found during the previous milestone are fixed and the system is ready for the final review.16-18During the final review of the project, it should be checked that all the requirements specified during milestone number 1 are fulfilled (or appropriate reasons given for not fulfilling the same)Project Internet based door finderhttp//www.buzzle.com/articles/medical-billing-outsourcing.html

What humans need to survive

What serviceman choose to bring throughWhile doing research for this paper I learned a chain reactor near myself that you forget not necessarily k promptly about. For this assignment I had to dig deeper to fine answers and be able to give feedback on my findings. I disc all overed what the world depends on and how the hierarchy of unavoidably atomic number 18 plain in our severallyday lives. This project clearly explains my opinions on the pitying necessitate and well beingness of the world and myself. Many questions ar asked and answered from many an(prenominal) a(prenominal) perspectives, including my induce. In this project, it explains almostly about the unavoidably of peck and how designers give up influenced these inevitably to meet the needs of piece. I researched the shop cable tram guidance and interesting details about the shopping aerial tram course and how it is a metaphor for my tone and myself. I mention the world and myself on how we as hom ophiles have a posture that we have to maintain, and a style and discernment that come downs with it.INTRODUCTIONIn this research paper I will discuss what graciouss in this world need in order to survive. As a designer I will odor at how the designers hierarchy of needs satisfies problems we as humans face on a daily basis. We as designers need to be able articulated lorry a problem and find a rational solution. I will similarly discuss how we as designers meet the needs of humans crossways the globe, as well as the history of the street motorcar. In our e very(prenominal)day life, humans all have a very different psycheal perceptual experience about certain things, for vitrine perceptivity and style and status. All humans have different opinions on these topics and throughout my research paper I will explore all these opinions as well as my own. Are designers run into these needs? What is the effect of design on human needs? How did the shopping cable tramway come into humans? Who knowing it? Why does the trolley insure for the way it does? Breathing, food, water, sleep, homeostasis, excretion, internet, coffee, cigarettes, money, petrol, shelter, electricity, car, TV, inspiration, phone, friends, family, safety of employment, resources, morality, health, property, no crime, insurance, love, knowing myself, caring for other people, being a better person, self-esteem, self-confidence, a sense of achievement, self-respect, creativity, spontaneity, problem solving, lack of prejudice, credence of facts and happiness and individualism. Are designers meeting these needs?Designers have a role in society to disembowel things usable, colourful, attractive to the naked eye, to create value, beauty, clean possibilities, empower people to do frequently and be bring out. I deal that designers do meet these needs. That is one of the many reasons that marketing and advertising is so powerful and why people give i nto advertisements so easily. Designers make things look enticing and very appealing. Using neuromarketing and propaganda designers get hold of the viewing audience senses fashioning the product irresistible and a must have in the viewers eyes. Designers do indeed meet these needs as we are eternally satisfied with our needs and the presentation of these needs. What is the effect of design on human needs? The effect of design on human needs, makes life for human a lot easier by creating different product that can function those certain needs this can abet people with achieving and bettering their needs. This allows people to understand and sponsor others meet their own needs and design effect human needs drastically because it creates opportunities for people and helps them understand that they needs can be meet but they need to be willing to achieve they needs in many ways. For example designers play with our senses, our insecurities and our minds. An alarm system is only(preno minal) pleasing because it plays on our insecurities as South Africans that at that place is crime and this susceptibility stop it from affecting us.Many products are generally picked by the most exciting packaging and the most popular branding, like clothing and many other products we buy on a regular basis without actually giving it any thought at all. Even food is judged for its property by its name brand and its packaging. How did the shopping trolley come into existence? The shopping trolley is a go-cart supplied by a shop, usually a super market such as Pick n Pay or Checkers, for customers to put the items they worry to purchase in. this helps them to not have to juggle all their items in their hands. The first shopping trolley was introduced in June 1937 by Sylvan Goldman who was an owner of the Piggly Wiggly supermarket chain in okeh City. Goldman saw the need for a way for his customers to move about more groceries which lead to him developing the idea of the trolley. Since Goldmans first idea of the shopping cart others have progressed it to better suit society. Goldmans first idea of how the shopping trolley should look was a wooden folding chair, a basket on the seat and wheels on the legs. Goldman and one of his employees, Fred Young, began to better the invention which lead to a metal frame that held twain wire baskets. Others have tried to better Goldmans invention however have not succeeded. Goldman became a multimillionaire with this idea and move to modify it such as making it bigger and better.(Unknown Author, 24 April 2007)Who designed it?In 1936 a man by the name of Sylvan Goldman designed the trolley with help from a friend of his, named Fred Young, he was a mechanic, there was another shopping trolley invention at that time and it was invented by.(Unknown Author, 24 April 2007)Why does it look the way it does? Most trollies in society today are made of metal or a combination of metals and plastic.(Unknown Author, 24 April 2007) T hey also come in many shapes and sizes. Designers have made modifications over the years to suit a variety of different customers. For example or so shopping carts have been designed to drivel a child. You also now get electric mobility scooters with baskets designed for the elderly or disabled.Due to the fact that children have been injured while in a shopping trolley roughly have been made with seats that resemble those of a car seat that a child can be strapped into. This enlarges the usage as it can carry your child and your groceries, leaving your arms free to shop.A trolley usually has for wheels and typically the two in front are swivel wheels in order to make pushing the trolley around easier. This helps to turn the trolley in the direction of your choice. What else is the trolley used for, other human needs? The trolley is used in the physiological need and people need food and the collection of food is done in a trolley, people use them to carry items for example a hobo, uses it to carry all of his personal belongings for his that trolley fulfils a radical need. Trollies are used for recreational uses, as a racing car, a trolley is changed into a car that can be pushed down hills, for some people that fulfils a basic need of exercise and entertainmentIs taste a personal perception?Taste can be seen in two completely different ways. Taste is when you taste food but taste is also your personal taste in anything physical. Fashion is a better example of someones taste. I believe taste is a personal perception because everyone sees things differently and thinks different looks and styles are attractive and exciting. What constitutes style?Style is someones own personal funk and style mixed with their personality. It is the look and feel of a person and how they act and react to different situations. Why do people crave status? All people in the world wish or believe to be better than the person next to them, so we as human beings all crave status in some way or form. thither are many types of status which are luxury good we all think we need better cars, or the most expensive brand or the most expensive play along or anything that is top class luxury, we are falling into the trap of the status seeker. When you feel better than everyone else- depends on where you come from, people that believe they are tough and give off that whole style that is a status. There are many was that can be defined as a status these are the most that people feel, the way they feel and the way they act determined they status. What are my perceptions on the above questions? While respond these questions, I realised that many people have many different perceptions, I also realized that people disregard individuality, but it is individuality that drives design and creation of wise ideas. Although we all have some needs in common which can be regarded as basic needs for humans. We also have other needs which may be very important to one person and not very im portant to another. My discoveriesI discovered many things on my journey through this assignment. Every person has their own views and personality which creates individuality. This makes them the person they are and we must respect each others differences because although we have the same basic needs these are still correlative from person to person. Each person is completely different to the next as a result of many factors including nature and nurture.Furthermore, designers are very influential in the world we live in today and help to make our needs more appealing and they help to create some new needs for us as well. Designers do their job outstandingly. I also learned to think outside the box which is very necessary as a designer to open up creativity.Indeed, it can be seen that I am much like a trolley in the way that trolleys have changed their look and even their shape over time much like I have grown and changed as years of my life have passed since my birth. I will underw rite to change and expand my experience and possibilities much like the trolley has and will continue to do. I am who I am because of many factors including nature and nurture and these factors will continue to mould me for the rest of my life. I will move around and help people carry their burdens and I will continue to try and help people in the best way that I can.ConclusionIn conclusion to this project I have found out that many people have excluded Maslows hierarchy of needs and have rather switched from the basic needs to the more material objects. Designers have made it possible for us to use our needs to the best of our advantage and use them to help us, for example they have design a transport system, this allows us to get fiscal stability and they have created stable houses which allowed us to live in good houses and have shelter.

The Green Concept In The Hotel Industry

The chiliad innovation In The Hotel IndustryTourism industry is one of the leading industries around the world. It has been prove that this industry generates billions of money and it overly helps people around the world to pop off and change magnitude their knowledge ab proscribed separatewise cultures and languages. But unfortunately, after thousands of age we strand out that the tourism industry bugger off a controvert impact on the environment. However, thither has been aw arness both for the research athletic field and people since decades in the comfortion of the environment, and the need to safeguard the natural resources for the next tense generation. This aw beness has spread all over the world starting prototypal in US and Europe. The chiliad lend oneselfs were put into achievement after the business deal Mauritius make with France for the contract of Maurice Ile Durable. The population of Mauritius comprising both consumers and producers assume recen tly shown an growing concern about the environmental impact of harvest-tides Considerable attention has been direct toward cat valium products such as organic foods, reclaimable paper, phosphate-free detergents, faculty-efficient lighting. Consumers make product choices establish on which combination of product attri scarcees that meet their needs based on dimensions of value, represent, and prior satisfaction (Kotler, 1997). Considering the tourism industry in Mauritius, we give the sack say that it is the leading growth sector. Somehow the country depends a mess on this industry and same as foreign countries, Mauritius also has made a lot of evolution. Big hotels were built in every coastal theater to accommodate holidaymakers and the minister of tourism has also embellished our historical gardens and other visiting sites. It is also well known that tourists are attracted by the 3S of our country, that is, the sea, solarise and the sand. Mauritius is a small Island and we must conserve and preserve the natural resources and also protect the environment surrounding us. As mentioned above, same as in Goa, Mauritius as well is facing serious problems concerning pollution and over habituate of resources. At present hotels, travelers and other tourism industries are aware of the measures that should be askn to preserve the nature together with the satisfaction of customers. This is why, nowadays it arse be seen that in that respect are hotels that are innovating into green hotels and more than green hotels are built so as to be sustainable.2.1 The Green Concept in the hotel industryThe Green concept of the hotel industry is an growing in awareness since the late 1980s. The hotel sector is said to be one of the virtually energy and water intensive sectors in the tourism industry. (Bohdanowicz, 2005). When hotels are constructed there is a need to make use of the environments resources the like the land. Hotels can ferment in different parts of the environment. The facilities like comfortable services, supplies (heating, cooling, lighting, ventilation, etc) to customers are unavoidable for their operations. (Bohdanowicz, 2005 Han et al., 2009). All these are said to be contributions to negative impacts on the environment. However, the victor of the tourism industry, as well as the hotel sector will depends on the availability of a clean environment. Hotels operation lead to pollution, snitch, and other elements map out a threat for the environment. The Green concept in this context is to operate these elements into a cycle process that will cause less impose on _or_ oppress to the environment. It is believed that hotels pose produced great harm to the environment by, for example, consuming vast quantities of non recyclable products that generate tremendous waste, consuming substantial amounts of water and energy and emitting nose candy dioxide and air, water and soil pollutants (Bohdanowicz, 2005 Chan, 2005). c oncord to Wolfe and Shanklin (2001), the term green, which can alternatively be called eco- chummy, environmentally responsible, environmentally friendly, sustainable and environmentally oriented (Han et al., 2009 Pizam, 2009), are referred to actions (for e.g. recycling) that minimize harmful impacts on the environment.Green hotels are therefore described as environmentally responsible hotels that actively follow environmentally friendly guidelines, practice environmental management, implement diverse eco-friendly practices, institute sound green programs and move over themselves to achieving environmental improvement by displaying eco-labels or a green world logo (Department of Environmental Protection, 2001 Green Hotel Association, 2008 Han et al., 2009, 2010 International Hotels Environmental Initiative, 1993). in that location is a public concern over environmental damage and customers desire for environmentally oriented products lead stimulated hotel operators to green the ir operations (Han et al., 2009 Manaktola Jauhari, 2007 Wolfe Shanklin, 2001). Researchers and practitioners agree that the green of a hotel contributes to satisfying eco-friendly customers green needs, avoids criticism of existing tourism practices, fulfils the requirements of authorities regulations and substantially decreases be through waste reduction, water or energy conservation and recycling (Chan, 2005 Han et al., 2009 Wolfe Shanklin,2001).2.2 The Green BuildingGreen building is a new term which refers to environmentally friendly practices from the building design to the landscape choice. With the introduction of sustainable development, building also need to be sustainable because buildings generate large amount of wastes from its construction and during its lifetime. And these wastes impacts on the surroundings, the environment and the people.According to Scatterfield (2009) the less impact a building has on human health and the environment, the more green it is. A green building can cost a lot at the beginning, but is profitable in the eagle-eyed run. It brings more benefits such as less pollution, more comfort for the employees and guests, and increase in productivity. The U.S Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2010 organised a aspiration with the aim to identify the best and brightest vision in the designing of an environmentally friendly hotel retinue. The title of the competition was the sustainable Suite Design Competition. The decide have to consider several elements such as the resources efficiency of the suite (water, energy and materials), the guest room overall attributes, innovation nad esthetic and lastly the cost associated with the design of the suite. The winners name was Haptik. The techniques developed by Haptik concerns the save of energy in the room by using the PIS which is the passive infrared emission sensors. The PIS switch off light automatically when nobody is in the room. Haptik utilised the Trombe wall in the b athroom which uses sunlight to heat the water. A mildew of the suite was shown to the public during the HD Expo 2010.2.2.1 The Green Building CertificateThere are several certifications given to hotel all over the world to gain them to move towards eco friendly attitude. The certification involves specific norms from energy saving to waste water disposal. Having a certification is often considered as a merchandise tool also. The certifications are often internationally known.2.3 The Green TouristNowadays, tourists are showing preferences for destinations that protect and preserve the environment. In the literature there has been a tendency to use the terms green and sustainable interchangeably. However, there are very distinct differences between the two. Green is defined as a product or service that is both environmentally and socially responsible. It is accountable to and respectful of the rear ends and people that provide and use them (Mc Laren, 2006). Sustainable is defined as the ability to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. (Brundtland, 1987). Green Tourism is defined by the Green Association as travel and exploration within and around an area that offers visitors enjoyment and appreciation of the areas natural assets and cultural resources, epoch inspiring physically active, intellectually stimulating and socially interactive experiences (Blackstone Corporation, 1996). The United Nations designated the year 2000 as the international year of Ecotourism. Eco tourists or green tourists attempt to travel in a manner non harmful to the environment. To travel green path to travel responsibly while conserving the environment and minimizing the social, cultural and ecological impacts, a green tourist enables other people to visit the same place later and still enjoy the same experience. Green tourism is edifying because travelers learn their destination and local people learn w hat to appreciate what they have to offer. It supports the integrity of the place because conscientious travelers desire out things that are mark of the locality in terms of architecture, cuisine, heritage or environment. Quality non quantity should be the goal of Green Tourism, therefore permanence and greatness of experience is what both parties are striving for.According to environmentalists, the Green employment was put into action when the view of the Earth was broadcasted through satellites programs. From that moment itself an increase concern to protect the earths fragility, and there is a need to conserve and protect it. This is the result in an increase of awareness of the following terms like the ozone layer, greenhouse effect and acid rain. (Walker, 2000). Despite the complexities surrounding green carriage the tourism industry is still keen to understand how the green concerns of consumers check to tourists and how the concerns convert to travel- or holiday-relate d behavior. Moreover, Peattie (2001) has claimed that although all consumers are green consumers at some(a) point in their lives, just about green purchases involve a trade-off. These compromises include devoteing a green premium or accepting a lower standard product or service for better eco fulfillance. However, differences in concerns and behaviors among tourists highlight the lack of homogeneity in this market. For example, concerns about the impact of direct and conservation of wildlife tend to be more mainstream get bys, whereas erosion of recreational areas by walking or riding may only concern ceding back market subdivisions, such as eco-tourists, environmentally responsible tourists or dear(p) tourists, which are the alternative terms given to green tourists ( Horner and Swarbrooke, 2006 ). These differences have been explained harmonise to four factors awareness and knowledge of the issues attitudes towards the environment in general other priorities in life in formation obtained from the media and pressure groups and their health, family commitments and housing ( Horner and Swarbrooke, 2006, p. 181 ).Although some in the tourism industry question whether the environmental concerns of tourists influence decision making, there is evidence that some tourists may choose anairline based on their environmental management practices ( Horner and Swarbrooke, 2006 ). They may also boycott events involving animal cruelty (for example, bull-fights) or campaign against tourism development that destroys wildlife habitats. Furthermore, the extent of change varies from one case of tourist to other. The very dark green consumers may convert their beliefs into action by not taking holidays away from home so as to prevent harm to the environment and in doing so do not become tourists. On the other hand, the not all green tourist may show only a passing interest by reading about the environmental issues caused by tourism (Hornermand Swarbrooke, 2006).2.4 Attitudes towards the Green useOver the last few decades, protecting the environment has been a major issue in our society (Easterling et al., 1996). Recognizing the seriousness of ecological problems, people have become change magnitudely environmentally conscious. This ecological awareness has led an increase number of someones to engage in environmentally friendly behaviors in their everyday lives. (Kalafatis et al., 1999 Laroche et al., 2001). In addition, Amyx et al. (1994) has focused on the perceived enormousness of the environment to the stratum to which individuals express their consciousness of environmental issues. In conceptualizing the perceived importance of the environment as the direct indicator of attitudes toward environmentally compatible behaviors, Laroche et al. (2001) determined the takes of these attitudes by whether individuals considered eco-friendly behaviors to be crucial to themselves or the entire society. This ATGB mainly involves the perceive d importance or inconvenience of environmental consciousness, the severity of environmental problems, and the level of office of corporations (Laroche et al., 2001 McCarty and Shrum, 1994 Roberts, 1996). In other words, individuals ATGB can be established by the level of their awareness of these dimensions of ATGB for themselves and for society as a whole. Some researchers has also pointed out that only a small portion of environmentally conscious customers very purchases eco-friendly products in the marketplace because of high monetary and non-monetary costs and inconvenience (Maibach, 1993 Roberts, 1996).However, many findings indicated that more environmental concern tends to result in more environmentally friendly buying behaviors (e.g., Kalafatis et al., 1999 Laroche et al., 2001 Manaktola and Jauhari, 2007). Consumers may be willing to purchase environmentally-friendly products but are faced with constraints or conflicts that create a resistance to adopting pro-environmenta l behavior. For example, consumers may take to be environmentally responsible but still want to maintain their existing life-style (Schwartz, 1990 McDaniel and Rylander, 1993). They may not be prepared to sacrifice convenience (Simon, 1992 Stern, 1999), accept lower motion levels, or concede a price premium (Peattie, 1999b). Based on Ajzens (1988) theory of think behaviour consumers environmental purchasing intentions and behaviour may be influenced by a number of factors, such as the individuals knowledge and motivation, the ability to perform the behaviour and the opportunity to behave in an environmentally-friendly way (Pieters, 1989 O lander and Thgersen, 1995).2.5 Tourists willingness to buy Green ProductsProducts are defined as environmentally friendly if in some way they aim at reducing a products negative environmental impact. Some authors have conjureed that the failure to reassure consumers on the products functional deed was partly attributable to the early failur e of many environmentally-friendly products (e.g. Davis, 1993 Ottman, 1999). Although it has been found that some consumers may, for example, accept a lower functional performance in order to buy a product that delivers environmental benefits, the environmental benefit in itself is neither the primary benefit sought nor the primary motivation for purchase (Speer, 1997 Ottman, 2001). As Wong et al. (1996) observed Green is seldom the over-riding determinant of product or brand choice but just another benefit or attribute that adds value, usually a feel good factor to the overall product. (Wong et al., 1996, p. 269).Some marketers appear to have overlooked this and sour that an environmental positioning alone was sufficient to guarantee product success (Ottman, 1995). Product performance appears to play a key role in influencing consumer adoption and retention of environmental products. So, when there is consumer skepticism of the relative performance of environmental products or a performance gap exists (i.e.consumer expectations of the products performance have not matched up to the in-use experience), this may strongly influence the products acceptance (Wong et al., 1996).Within the hotel sector, increasing numbers of customers prefer to choose a green lodging adroitness that follows environmentally friendly practices, showing concern about the seriousness of ecological degradation (Han, Hsu, Sheu, 2010 Manaktola Jauhari, 2007). In recognition of this eco-friendly consumption need, nowadays many hotel firms seek to incorporate customers emerging concerns about the environment in their management or a marketing decision-making (Bohdanowicz, 2006 Lee, Hsu, Han, Kim, 2010 Mensah, 2006). Altering their hotel operations to be green (i.e. importantly reducing environmental impacts) is becoming a necessity to attain marked improvement in their competitiveness in the market (Han, Hsu, Lee, 2009 Manaktola Jauhari, 2007). One of the most credible pieces of evi dence demonstrating the increase of environmentally friendly customer behaviors is the change magnitude number of customers who have a strong intention to pay more for green products (Laroche, Bergeron, Barbaro-Forleo, 2001). In the hotel context, in reality, green hotel prices do not significantly differ from those of comparable conventional (or non-green) hotels (Han et al., 2009 Manaktola Jauhari, 2007). The green hotel operators interest is in whether travelers are willing to pay comparable regular-hotel prices for their hotel, perhaps sacrificing little conveniences while staying at their green hotel (reusing towels, limited use of disposable products, use of recycled products/furniture, recycling bins, buffet-style foods without garnishes, meeting tables without tablecloths, minimized decor, non-smoking areas, dispensers for soap/shampoo, etc.). For consumers who are more receptive to environmental products and purchase them through choice, there may be a segment that are willing to pay more for the environmental benefit. But, whilst some authors hint that consumers are willing-to-pay more for an environmentally-friendly products (Kassarjian, 1971 Freeman, 1989 Klein, 1990 McCloskey, 1990 Kapelianis et al., 1996 Laroche et al., 2001), others suggest otherwise (Wood, 1990 Simon, 1992 Sims, 1993). Marketplace examples also suggest that in reality consumers are not always prepared to pay the premium prices suggested by research (Fuller, 1999). Although our knowledge about consumers acceptance of pay a higher price for environmentally-friendly products appears to be inconsistent and inconclusive, it has often been found that consumers will pay on average around 5 pct more (Schwartz, 1990 Kapelianis et al., 1996 Speer, 1997).2.6 Cost of going green in the hotel industryWith a broadly point of view, there are two approaches in the environmental cost analysis. One emphasizes the costs associated with environmental damage and its remediation, the other str esses on the price of control. In practice, this damage costing approach faces some essential problems in estimating the environmental impact as described by Bernow at al. (1991). Hotel developers still face specific barriers in developing and operating green properties, such as finding vendors, contractors, engineers, housekeepers, landscapers and managers that understand new systems, products and procedures. Complicating matters for hotels is to cover the normal hotel management and franchise agreements. The highly structures arrangements negotiated between hotels owners and hotel managers have not withal addressed a number of issues raised by green development, redevelopment or operation that affects the bottom line of both entities. Finally, there is the issue of meeting the expectations of paying guests. Although we believe guests expect hotels to operate in an environmentally conscious fashion, it may also be that those same guests may have unrealistic expectations of luxury and comfort in terms of green operation. To take simple example, do hotels still need to put out individual shampoo bottles and does the spa need to smell faintly like centilitre to satisfy guests expectations. The costs arising from the implementation of ISO 14001 include those associated with initial set up, alimentation and improvement (Chin et al., 1998). The price of initial set up refers to all costs associated with the provision of hardware and software facilities, plus tools for establishing the system in submission with the ISO 14000 EMS standards.

The Materials Management In Malaysia Construction Construction Essay

The substantials worry In Malaysia Construction Construction EssayIn mental synthesis, sensibles and equipment account for 50-60 of the bulge cost, and the most common ca custom of delays in eddy is lack of corporals (Amir TavakoliAdil Kakalia, 1993). Studies conducted by the Construction Industry Institute, Ameri mickle Association of address Engineers, and other(prenominal)s nominate emphasized the importance of crook real(a)s management (Amir TavakoliAdil Kakalia, 1993). These studies maintain cerebrate that effective materials management ashes ordain result in a 6-8% improvement in labour productivity, amend cash feast, deoxidized multitude materials surplus, decrease materials management human resource, improved vendor per varianceance, slimd indispens subjectness for physical w arhouse facilities, measurement purchasing discounts, minimized cost disturb of change governs, and fewer project delays. The saving made as a result of these improvements tabo ostrip the cost of enforceing a materials management agreement by ten to one (Amir TavakoliAdil Kakalia, 1993).Nowadays, the cost of materials for construction is change magnitude form category to year due to market force, lack of natural resources, and etc. In order to reduce the construction cost, material management has to be raceing divulge to reign the construction cost to make to a greater extent proceeds.1.2 Problem argumentationLack of materials management in construction go forth result in rising of construction cost, more wastage, lowering the profit and etc. In order to make a spicyer profit with a utmost construction cost, developer tend to sell their reading in a high price and and so grammatical construction cost pull up stakes become high and result in purchaser down to pay a big afford on the payment.Government should pay more afford to avower on materials management in order to reduce wastage as instantly our world is more concern in recycle an d also to reduce the afford of people to buy a comfort residential for themselves or to acquire a shop to nethergoes their business.1.3 Objectives1. To identify whether the materials management system atomic number 18 properly carried out in construction localize.2. To watch over the proper focus in get hold ofing out materials management on construction state of affairs.2. To determine the advantages of the employ of materials management.1.4 Rationale of studyBuilding materials is a important resources in a construction industry. No matter how big or sm entirely the project is, decl ber should pay more attention on building materials in order to reduce wastage and also to maximize their profit. Many construction companies free do non do well in materials management which give the axe help them to make more profit and also to help their construction running smoothly. So, there ar some reasons why this research strikes to be carried out.First of completely, how to ap plied and organised the proper materials management system to a project. Secondly, how to increase the profit of construction telephoner by the employ of materials management system.Hopefully, this research get out give a clear go for on materials management and reserve a guideline for local construction conjunction to improve their materials management system.1.5 MethodologyMethodology mode to be utilize is questionnaires. First, aims and objectives will be planned and draft out in all the content needed. subsequently finalize the survey questionnaire, 30 essays will be conducted by sending to different construction caller-out. The targeted constructions companies contacts be obtain from internet, friends and newspaper. After collected the questionnaires, the data collected will be analyze. Conclusion and recommendations will have made at the end of the research. The purpose of using questionnaires is that it freighter be comp ar different commissions of materials man agement system carried out by different construction company and this also is an easy way to collect data.Chapter 2 Literature review2.1 Definition clobbers management is an validational philosophy that has evolved through application of the systems approach to management, an approach that provides for integration of all management do locomotes. A primary objective of this philosophy is to coordinate all business activities that ar part of the materials cycle, from supplier through company trading operations and on to the customer. textiles management is an umbrella that integrates all the critical materials sub contributions and , as such, is a major company function, among such others as engineering, finance, and manufacturing as utter in figure 1.1(Eugene L. Magad and privy M. Amos, 1995)CaptureFigure Major company function cooperating to succeed common objectivesA simpler definition of materials management could be the line of responsibility which begins with the s election of suppliers and ends when the material is interpreted to its orient of use. (Dean S. Ammer, 1969).Material managements is a concept which brings together under one manager the responsibility for find out the manufacturing requirements, scheduling the manufacturing handle, and procuring, storing and dispersing material. As such it is concerned with, and get over, activities related in the science and use of all material employed in the merchandise of a finished good. (R J Carter and P M Price, 1993)2.2 ConceptNeither the speech confabulation nor the concept of a totally integrated material organization has been current by all business passim the world. Many of the local company use the different term to coding this management such as Material focal point, logistics, and Physical distri barelyion for similar organizations. Others have embraced the title but not the full organizational philosophy. Despite different names, however, the trend in recent years has be en for companies to adopt the materials management or logistics management title. (Eugene L. Magad and potty M. Amos, 1995)Business be attributable to material are signifi give noticet passel of the total cost of goods and services. Increasingly, companies are recognizing the need to implement this type of organization to maximize profits, improve customer service, establish needs manoeuvers, and reduce costs. (Eugene L. Magad and John M. Amos, 1995)2.3 Functions of Material solicitudeIn building construction industry, Material Management works with all segments, the major function is to provide the sound materials to the right operating point at the right magazine in a usable condition and at the minimum cost. So, in generally the Material Management play an important role whether the profit the Contractors firm will maximize or remain unchanged. (R.J.Carter and P.M Price, 1993)Besides that, the amount of wastage also reduced with the use of materials management as nowadays what our community concern more about in the term of Recycle. Below are the basic function of the use of materials management in construction industry miscellany of materials stance on localise performance on siteReduction of float fiber ControlThe main point of Material Management is to conform to the needs of all operating systems, such as the manufacturing production line, the need arising from customer demand patterns, promotional activities and physical distribution schedules. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)2.3.1 Classification of materialsMaterials digest be classified into groups reflecting the manner in which they can be handled and stored on the site. The way in which a material is delivered will determine how it is off weighted and where it is located. For example, sand will arrive in a tip-up embody vehicle and will need to deposit onto an even clean launch with walls to prevent excessive spreading. No labour will be call for other than an operative directing the vehicle. ( Ian E Chandler, 1978)The categorization can be split into five broad areas.BulkThe material is delivered in bulge and deposited on site into some form of container. These materials have a high wastage rate and tend to be used indiscriminately. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)BaggedA wad material placed in bags for ease of manipulation and controlled use in small quantities. The bag also offers some protection against wastage and deterioration. Generally, to check over spry unloading a extensive number of operatives are compulsory to carry the bags to the storage point. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)PalletedBagged materials can be loaded onto pallets on the fascinate vehicle and on arrival at the site mechanical doer can be used to offload them, such as genital organ lift trucks or cranes. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)PackagedAn increasing number of materials are packaged to prevent victimize during transit and deterioration in storage. They can be banded together fully enclosed or fairish prot ected at their most vulnerable parts. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)LooseComponents are in a partially fabricated state it whitethorn not be feasible to pallet or package them. They will have to handled individually gibe to their weight, size and intrinsic strength. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)The firms policy should be, wherever manageable, to obtain the materials either palette or packaged. This will generally involve the buyer in negotiations with the suppliers to determine the most suitable requirements. at that place are advantages that will be of put on to both parties (Ian E Chandler, 1978)Faster turn-round for vehicles on siteQuicker and easier loading at the sourcePossible systematisation of pallet sizes and loads, together with package sizes. As a summary for classification of materials by classify the materials into five groups, it can help to aid the site management in determining the handling and storage policy and serve it needs to carry out on the site. The manner in which th e material is delivered will determine its storage emplacement, when it will be required, and how it will be off-loaded and transfer of traininged. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)2.3.2 Location on siteThe overriding objective of the perspective of materials and components on the site is that they should be as close to the point of use as is practically and economically realistic. (Ian E Chandler, 1978) When materials are delivering from a uttermost distance to the site, it will result in wasting away time in delivering, risk of abuse to the materials and also an increase in the cost of materials. It is required that the distance of the delivering materials to be managed. In develop a plan for this management, the reckon which will affect the plan is the time, stead, labour, arrange and costs.Time. If the contract has to be consummate in a relatively short time compared to similar projects, thus the cost of material handling becomes a secondary fancyation. It is necessary to st ock-pile materials to jolt the effects of irregular delivery. This will have to be re-handled at a later date if they are deposited some distance away from the point of use. The net effect on the programme in achieving continuous production to obtain completion on time may, in this particular case, warrant the particular(a) expenditure for the double handling. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)Space. On the majority of sites the space available for the storage and endeavour of materials and components is the major consideration. The amount of land unexpended most a building or a group of building is re unforgivinged owning to formula and cost divisors. The cost of land is very high, owe mainly to its scarcity value for building, this means that the building will take out up as more than as of the available land area. The developer essential(prenominal) achieve a balance between a high niggardness of population and areas for leisure amenities. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)Labour and form. The off-loading and handling of materials in site which should be carry out by worker or auto has to be done correctly. The important of this is more main on time as time is very important for construction. For example, by using a crane to lift concrete to a high floor is a lot for faster than carrying by worker as the amount to be displace is much larger and the time used is much more shorter. exclusively there still many accompaniment that must be carry by worker such as some small item which carry only a small amount and easily disordered item should be carry by worker carefully to forefend losing or damage to the item.Costs. Whatever the outcome of looking at the location problem from the point of view of time, space or labour and plant the ultimate decision will inevitably be tempered by the cost factor. If the costs exceed the budget for that particular operation a decision will have to be taken in the trounce interests of the project. It may be justifiable to exceed t he estimate for one body process in order to put up a saving in another. If after a number of feasible solutions have been obtained on the basis of the other limiting factors, then the distinguishing criteria will be cost, with the problem being resolved by using the cheapest method. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)2.3.3 Movement on SiteMovement on site mean to move the material from 1 position to another position. Incorrect ways of movement capacity cause damage to the materials and increase the costs. Basically, movement on site can be divided into 2 types which is horizontal movement and vertical movement. For horizontal movement, the aim is to find that the material is moved from one position to another over the site to minimize time, handling, damage and costs by using routes planned to ensure safety and ease conk out. The routes should be defined by laying roads or marking their width. Material checker should have the responsibility and ascendancy to police the activity. (Ian E C handler, 1978)Plant should be well maintained to block break down of vehicle in the way of delivery or any other to avoid wasting time on delivery. This might cause delay of construction when materials deliver to the site late and hence causes lost to the contractor. While for vertical movement, this is the movement of materials from one level to another in either a strict perpendicular manner or with a certain amount of horizontal movement. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)Very piddling vertical movement, except in single or two taradiddle buildings, is carried out by labour excluding for example, bricks and mortar in hods and the placing of sanitary fittings. Labours intensive lifting is expensive both in time and money. The optimum is to get the materials to the required level in the most businesslike way. Lifting plant should be positioned around the building to ensure that excessive horizontal movement within the morphologic envelope is minimized. It should be positioned around the st ructural envelope is minimized. It should be able to carry component that needs to lifted, also bearing in intellect its overall size. The load must be carried safelt and should be secured if there is the slightest risk of it falling. If the lifting conveyance is fixed provision has to be made to prevent the load falling outside the area occupied by the lift appliance. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)The amount of space on site will determine the allocation of the horizontal and vertical movement corridors, with an inherent danger of excessive travel by the site channelize on an unlimited site and fine planning required on a restricted one. The mode of transport to the site will affect how and where the materials will be offloaded. Site corridors should be designated according to vehicle or pedestrian use and prepared according to the loads they will have to convey. The type of transport will have to convey. The type of transport will have to be decided at the planning stage to ensure tha t deliveries can be handled efficiently. Vertical movement will depend upon the materials to be lifted and the height they have to r apiece. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)2.3.4 Reduction of WasteContractors are often active in the design phase when involved in design-build, construction management at risk, and room construction management contractual relationships. This early involvement in the process provides the opportunity to help build realistic specifications for simplification shoot a line in the construction process. (William R. Mincks Hal Johnston, 2012)Designers are typically aware of the physical attributes of materials however, they dont commonly consider the photocopy generated by the use of the material in the construction process. The contractor ia aware of the efficient use of material and its waste in from each one application. This insight can help the designer choose the optimal material for each particular use. (William R. Mincks Hal Johnston, 2012)The specificati on need to reflect what the owner is intending to touch concerning waste management. The specification should include requirements to achieve reduction of waste, such as requiring detailed waste management plans form the contractor and trade contractors on the jobsite. (William R. Mincks Hal Johnston, 2012)Waste is generated in a systematic process that can be scheduled. Begin making schedule requirements that will illustrate when and how waste will be generated. The schedule should be used to reform understand waste generation and how best to recycle, reuse, or dispose of the different kinds of materials being used on the project. (William R. Mincks Hal Johnston, 2012) Figure 2.0 shows the composition of construction waste.CUsersUserDesktopwaste.PNGFigure authorship of construction wasteCloser cooperation between designer and contractor in the design stages of building can help to prevent waste. The present form of war-ridden tendering produces a waste of contractors managem ent resources in the synthesis of an im feasible tender. This is also reflected in the successful tender in so much as the contractor will have had little or no influence over the design. His experience could have alleviated some of the waste brought about by inherent design factors. The incidence of waste has repercussions throughout the contract. Its effect will be seen through extra administrative work by management personnel, an increase in contract time, reallocation of labour, extra costs in replacement of materials, remedying faulty work because of materials, and extra costs in cleaning and disposing of waste materials. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)2.3.5 Quality Control tally to Sidney M. Levy (2007), the control of tone construction begins with an intensive review of the plans and specifications. There may be few deficiencies in the plans and specifications, some of which may have been uncovered during the estimating process, while other were unearthed by the subcontractor and ven dors. The project superintendent may have unearthed constructability issues during his or her review. The need for all parties to thoroughly examine the documents under their control cannot be overemphasized. When problem are uncovered early in the game, the impact and associated costs are considerably less.Quality control is the function which must be performed throughout an organization in order to achieve its flavour objectives. To produce effective musical note control of incoming materials and components a practical site establish system must be adopted. The control of work-in-progress will not be discussed unless it overlaps the system to be applied to materials. (Ian E Chandler, 1978) Component of building is cannot without the present of quality control because of the interrelationship of each others. The quality must set at the target where it is likely possible to achieved and sufficient. If the target of quality is arrange out of the capability, it not just wasting the time but also ca-ca delay of the project. So, quality control is not just base on what quality standard is to be achieved, but it is also based on the existing techniques and capability to control the quality. In order to control the quality of materials, materials can be inspected by 3 method which is visual method, tactile method, and statistical method. Inspection is not carried out by using either one of these methods but by according to the type of materials by using which method. Inspection is preferred to be carry out before the materials are unloaded as this can avoid unnecessary bad hence to prevent from wasting time and energy to demolish and rebuild.Visual inspection is generally only possible if the items are not packaged and where the quality can be seen at a glance, eg timber. During unloading some damaged goods may be imbed if a competent person is in charge. If it is left to untrained operatives to unload, damage may be caused and defective items not noticed and t heir importance realized. Checks should be carried out prior to and during unloading, with a final check on the method of protection. The vast majority of quality control checks are visual and defective material is generally easily recognized. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)For tactile inspection, from the appearance of a material it may be seen to be defective or of a poor quality but by touching it this can be confirmed. This method of inspection has only a limited application and is usually confined to materials such as sand, cement, plaster and joinery timber. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)By using statistical techniques on samples from bulk deliveries the state of the whole deliver can be fairly accurately forecast. It is not intended to get here the mathematics behind these techniques but to show where they can be applied on the site. The most common sampling test used is the concrete cube test. A quality if concrete is taken from a batch, and compacted into a number of cast iron cubes. These are allowed to cure for a specific number of days and then the concrete cubes are time-tested for compressive strength. It is assumed that the cubes represent the whole batch of concrete and that the results of the tests on the sample reflect the expected results if all the concrete was tested. This analogous technique can be used on bricks, aggregate, timber, and components. (Ian E Chandler, 1978)Suggested by Ian E Chandler (1978), to be effective a quality control system should be based on a close liaison between the architect and the builder. A system should be developed in conjunction with the general materials handling procedures and this carried out under the responsibility of the person in control of materials. The system must be set the quality standard, plan how it is to be adopted, implement the methods of inspection and provide for a long term control of quality. An efficient system will cover its costs, ensure that a job is punish to the satisfaction of the architect and possibly provide and additional saving for the contractor. With strict control, pressure can be brought to bear on the materials suppliers and with good quality materials a high standard of workmanship can be achieved in creating the finished article.2.4 Advantages of Material Management in Building ConstructionIn Building construction industries, what is the advantages of Material Management will bring the benefit to Contractors Company. In fact, the adoption of Material Management by the Contractors Company will generate a number of significantly valuable advantages in toll of total organizational control and materials control. In according to Eugene L. Magad and John M. Amos (1995), the advantages are as followsMaximun company profitImproved customer service usefulness of credibility enhancement of intercourseImproved quality of round2.4.1 utmost company profitAccording to Eugene L. Magad and John M. Amos (1995), like other major company functions, Material Management is mainly responsible to maximize the company profits. Because Material Management control the company 4M which is materials, machines, manpower, and money, it has significant potential difference for increasing company profits by reducing costs. Cost reduction opportunities are possible throughout the material function. Some typical examples are as followsDecreasing part shortages (resulting in more efficient use of labour, plant and materials).Reducing inventory level through improved controls.Lowering ecstasy costs as result of using minimum cost of transport vehicle to send the building materialsAlways ensure the material is order and send to the site at the suitable time, prevent any material which is brought to the site prematurely. If possible, purchasing manager should order the material in large quantity and enjoy certain amount of discount. (Material in large quantity like cement, timber, and etc where can be store for longer period of time)Material Management can make an i mportant contribution to a companys profit margin by reducing total costs, which can then provide a reduction in Building growing price. Reduction development price can result in higher gross sales during the periods of merchandising for completed building, as well as the ability to maintain sales volume during a contracting market. Another benefit achieved by reducing materials cost is that can help a company to maintain the same product (Building) price during periods of increasing resources costs. (Eugene L. Magad and John M. Amos , 1995)According to Elijah E. Ogbadu (2009), materials management and trade department should cooperate in ensuring the organization for the profitability. Materials management has the ability to produce the exact quality of the materials used to avoid wastage to obtain the lowest possible cost which will then bring marketing maintain competitive advantage. Consequently sales and profit will be increased.2.4.2 Improved customer serviceThe second bene fit of applied the Material Management in building industry is that the product quality provided to the customer will increased. Quality control is part of the essential topic under the Material Management function. In regard with the product quality, the firm which adopted the Material Management system will normally balanced their product cost and quality. It is not true that with the lowest cost of product will decline the quality of the product. When the building sales in the market with the reasonable cost and better quality, then it will constantly maintain the customer product quality and with lower building cost. (Eugene L. Magad and John M. Amos , 1995)2.4.3 Improvement of credibilityAn important factor in the day-to-day operation of a company is the reliability and verity of each groups performance and activities. Each and group within the company must depend on others for correct timing and performance, if anyone falters, the overall performance is affected. In some resp ects, company activities are more complex than this. Individual department begin to take safety precautions when they are forced to work with others who are less reliable than they. With a Material Management organization, various functions (marketing, manufacturing, etc) get better, more reliable service. The Material Management organization provides credibility of performance, which helps to reduce costs and lessen confusion. It also contributes to an atmosphere of mutual and cooperation. (Eugene L. Magad and John M. Amos , 1995)2.4.4 Enhancement of communicationThe Material Management offer the benefit of enhance the communication by provide a communication network that reacts quickly and facilitates improved rational action throughout the system. Combining the various fragmented groups enhances communication by shortening message channels, allowing common use of data, providing greater potential use of communication through data processing equipment, and encouraging the flow of information between people. (Eugene L. Magad and John M. Amos , 1995)2.4.5 Improved quality of staffThis account given that the material manager will promote team based working and will offer greater promotion and staff development opportunities, the company will pull out a higher capability staff to work together. Majority, the employee will aim for higher status of working environment and also challenging work. The company with systematic organization may attract those experienced staff working within the firm, so the company with Material Management system is form of systematic approach which will create a good image to company. Effect of Tourism on Asias Economic Growth

Effect of touristry on Asias economical Growth1.1 IntroductionTourism is wiz of linchpin industry in the development of well-nigh countries in Asia. Malaysia, itself depend on touristry in its nation growth. In Asia, body politic like Malaysia has benefited a lot from the development of its touristry industry. The developments of touristry in Asia atomic number 18 differing amongst countries. inherent misfortune such as air pollution, floods and earthquake provide gravel an issuing on the tourism industry in Asia.1.2 Environmental hap and TourismThere has been forward explore regarding to tourism which airfield the descent betwixt natural disaster and tourism. In the year of 2010, hazardous flood in Pakistan has influence its deliverance growth. Decision-making by tourists on sound end is influenced by economic, technological, international or political, socioethnical and surroundingsal factors including those directly colligate to environmental and natur al hazards ( Mathieson and Wall, 1993). fit to Sinclair and Stabler (1997), the range of goods and services encompassing tourism include natural resources and especially the non-price feature and the positive benefits derived from attractive environment and the negative effect of pollution. Sinclair and Stabler noted that the perceived cost of travel improvers by the realization of natural disaster has effect tourism at all.The investigate by Campos, (1999) stated that there was relationship between tropical cyclone (natural disaster) and the income of hotels (tourism industry), meanwhile Chang (1983) found that hurri usher oute and other(a) natural disaster can decreases revenues to a municipality through and through reduce tourism revenues, although the increases assistant by Federal Government to the effect argona.1.3 Tourism in Asia Development of Tourism in Some Countries in AsiaComparison and effect of tourism in Asia on the development of economy can be discussed specif ically by making comparison between the chosen countries. The countries included on the list of this playing area were Malaysia, capital of Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, In makesia,Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambondia.1.3.1 MalaysiaThe question by Mohd Hafiz Hanafiah and Mohd Fauzi Mohd Harun in June 2010 regarding to tourism in Malaysia show that tourism in Malaysia is the trinity largest industry after oil and automobiles. Malaysian economy allow increase due to the increase in tourism sector. Number of tourists natters Malaysia is a major factor which influences the Malaysian economy alone. During Asian pecuniary Crisis 1997, number of tourists declined and reached a new record after the economic stalemate. There was another research which shows how tourists influence the growth of tourism in some countries. check to melody and Witt (2000), they described tourist products as the amount of tourism demand that the consumers are imparting to acquire during a specific per iod of time and beneath certain conditions which controlled by the explanatory factors routined in the demand equation. Smeral (1988) and Syriopoulos and Sinclair (1993) by trial and error examined the relationships between the variables underlying the determinants of tourism demand. Lim (1997), Song and Witt (2000) and Song et al. (2003), apply econometrics portent sticker to which forecasts changed as a result of changes in the variables that act as economic drivers of tourism. Loeb (1982), Nordstrom (1996), Uysal and Crompton (1982) have used the demand function approach to rate the quantitative relationships of tourism demand. Jorgensen (1996) and Muller (1999) have focus on the statistical properties of an in-chief(postnominal) time series, namely on the international tourist demand.1.3.2 SingaporeIn Singapore the research analysis on tourism was done by Xianming Meng, Mahinda Siriwardana, Brian Dollery and Stuart Mounter in June 2010 on the impact of the World financi al crisis in 2008 by using CGE analysis. They found that tourism industry is one of the important sectors in Singapore that contribute to the increase in the untaught economy development. Singapore tourism was greatly effect during the World Financial Crisis in 2008. It shows on Singapore Tourism Board (2009), tourism declined 13.5% in the first half of 2009 studyd with the first half of 2008.Blake and Sinclair (2003) used a 98-sector CGE model of the US economy to estimate the impact of 911-event in the absence of any offsetting policy response which is when the fall in the tourism expenditures reduces GDP and it will worsen the government budget and under different policy responses. Blake et al. (2003) use CGE model to analyse the impact of Foot and Mouth decease (FMD) on tourism and the UK economy. From the model it can be consider that there is a fall on the real GDP, declining in exports, increase in wham deficit and falls in government revenue.1.3.3 BruneiThe research by Kwabena A. Anaman and Chee N. Looi in September 2000 was on Economic impact of haze-related air pollution on the tourism industry in Brunei Darussalam. They found that haze-related air pollution is a major problem why Brunei has a problem on change magnitude their number of visitors comes to their country. The causes of this problem in Brunei tourism is because of the pollution that happen and country losses about one million to the tourism industry. The pollution and adult male health effects tourists to visit Brunei and this will decreased the benefits of Brunei economy.1.3.4 PhilippinesIn Philippines, study by (October 2000) by P.L. Cadiz and H.P. Calumpong (2000) on the revenues gained from tourism show that Philippines has a capability to increase in the tourism industry especially in Apo Island. According to White and Dobias 1990, the overall cost and benefits of tourism development options showed from a oddly of who is incurring the cost and who is benefiting. They also ag ree that tourist will visits Philippines because of the fair beaches and marine parks. From study of White 1996, the entire island coral reef was state a marine reserve and a small portion a fish sanctuary in 1986 and this boost the economy growth.1.3.5 Indonesia topical anesthetic Economic Impacts of Dragon tourism in Indonesia (2000) by Matthew J. Walpole and Harold J. Goodwin (2000) in their study of Local Economic Impacts of Dragon tourism found that tourism in Indonesia is an important industry to increase Indonesia economy so they can compete with other country. The number of tourists visit Indonesia will be show from the environment of this country.According to Goodwin, Kent, parker and Walpole 1997 and1998, many international tourism emerged rather than industrialize countries. Brohman 1996, believe that tourism industry are increasingly being agitated in rural areas as a means to combat the historic trends of dependency and ine select. From Boo 1992 perspective, ecotouri sm is increasingly held to embody both sustainable development ideals and conservation.1.3.6 ThailandThe study by Aswin Sangpikul and Ardash Batra (2007) on perpective of Thai Youths regarding to ecotourim found that Thai youths had a general fill outledge and consume on ecotourism industry. The study is to locate their knowledge and attitude towards ecotourism as headspring as to survey their travel experiences relating to ecotourism. From the statement of Walailak University, 1997, they believe that people are regarded as one of the key factors for the success of ecotourism development. The study shows that Thai youths tranquillize have a limited knowledge on ecotourism but they mute the meaning of ecotourism. Thai youths also have a problem to know on how ecotourism can effect on Thailand tourism. Besides, youths on Thailand like to visit places that are maintained and preserved beauty and pureness. From the previous study of Tonekaew, 1998 and Kunarucks, 2000, dickens conc erned parties have been identified to provide more knowledge and promote ecotourism among Thai youths, namely educational institutes and government agencies.1.3.7 VietnamProfessor Malcolm cooper (1998) makes a research about the roles of IT in the development of tourism. He found that IT contend important roles in developing a national tourism industry based on the sustainable development model. Vietnam is located in both a tropical and a temperate zone. This is because it is a fastest focussing to inform others about the tourism industry in Vietnam. The study is to compare the information provided by current systems, and managing development while preserving the value of the heathen and physical environment. Besides, Vietnam contributes on the increase in the countrys GDP. Good environment quality leads country to have more tourists visiting Vietnam.1.3.8 LaosSteven Schipani (2006) study how tourism benefitted mountainous surface Cultivation in Laos. In the study, he found tha t Laos tourism will reach a million of tourists arrive over a year. The study of Laoss tourism estimated that visitors are interested in the countrys natural and heathen attractions. The study of Laos industry is to examine the ecotourism as an alternative to Upland Rubber cultivation in the Nam Ha National protected Area, Luang Namtha. Ecotourism in Luang Namtha father financial benefits for local people, providing small group for cultural exchange, minimising adverse cultural and environmental impacts and generating public funds for environmental and cultural protection. Ecotourism activities and rubber plantations can both be conducted independently.1.3.9 CambodiaKathryn Conway (2008) whom make a research of ecotourism, beggary, and conservation in Prek Toal found that ecotourism revenues can be analyzed using poor subsistence sportfishing village on Cambodias Tonle sap lake, the conservation organization Osmose to finance poverty intervention programs and promote conservation in a threatened ecosystem. This study is to examine the local perceptions of tourism.According to Valene Smith, shes defines tourism as a fugitive and voluntary travel to a place away from home for the invention of experiencing a change. In Cambodia tourism, the level of general awareness of tourists activities is low in the community wide. Besides there is a limitation on the perceptions of any negative impacts associated with tourism.1.4 Method and Analysis used by Researcher in The PastMethod and the way analysis which has been used by previous researcher are vital in this research and therefore it will bring great advantages in this research especially in chapter 3 which will be discussed later.Mohd Hafiz Hanafiah and Mohd Fauzi Mohd Harun (June 2010) study on Malaysia tourism use solemness model and economic data to analyse the tourism demand in Malaysia. Xianming Meng, Mahinda Siriwardana, Brian Dollery and Stuart Mounter ( June 2010) study on Singapore tourism use CGE mo dels, data and parameters to estimate the negative effects of the 2008 world Finacial Crisis. Kwabena A. Anaman and Chee N. Looi (Septemver 2000) using OLS regression sit and Linear and log-linear on the visitor and tourist..P.L. Cadiz and H.P. Calumpong (October 2000) study on Philippines tourism used questionnaire to determine the number of tourists visiting Apo Island every month other than monitor lizard the number of visitors diving and snorkelling outside and inside the marine sanctuary.Meanwhile, Matthew J. Walpole and Harold J. Goodwin (2000) study on Indonesia tourism used macroeconomics techniques ,questionnaire and ANOVA test to examine the magnitude and dispersion of tourism employment and revenue generation in communities in an Indonesian Park.Aswin Sangpikul and Ardash Batra (2007) study on Thailand tourism used questionnaire and ANOVA test to decide their knowledge and attitude towards ecotourism as well as to survey their travel experiences relating to ecotourism. . Professor Malcolm cooper (1998) study on Vietnam tourism, Steven Schipani (2006) study on Laos tourism use data prudence and forecasting method. Kathryn Conway (2008) study on Cambodia tourism used fieldwork timeline, translator / assistant, sampling, consent process, data collection and data managementto examine the local perceptions of tourism.1.5 ConclusionAs every of us knew tourism play a big role in the development of economy in some countries. Issue such as natural disaster certainly degrades the growth of tourism in the country and of course economy as well. In this research, the event of how the situation of tourism in some countries in Asia will be used in completing this research successfully. Besides, the method and analysis used by previous researcher will give a big help in this research as it will help the researcher in the formation of questionnaire and other germane(predicate) analysis. And this will include how tourist had a strong relationship in the developme nt of tourism economy.
